Under Windows XP or earlier, the software works well with few problems. They refuse all contact, so no explanation is available. Delorme is going to loose a lot of business with that kind of thinking. I think drivers are missing, but they did not come with the Street Atlas software. Sorry DeLorme, but after a year of patience, I’m done with you. This worked fairly well, but not quite well enough that I can recommend it without reservation.

They will loose a lot of Truckers deorme by not going to 64 bit because 32 bit is becoming a thing of the past just like they will be by not forward thinking. Unfortunately these drivers work only on bit not bit versions of Windows prior to Window 7, so if you run a bit version of Windows or Windows 7 or above, then you’ll need to use the Bluetooth interface to connect to DeLorme’s GPS receivers.
Tru-Traffic displays a Searching for Fix message until it has a set of reports that include selorme, date, and time. I eventually gave up and went the GPSGate route.
This worked well and had the additional advantage that it gave an update every second, as opposed to every 2 seconds as all the NMEA GPS receiver I’ve tried. I have a new Lenovo R running Win7 Pro 64 bit. This means you can connect the GPS to the ush out in the field ub run just fine, but you cannot, as far as we can tell, take the GPS solo out in the field, use it to record intersection coordinates “waypoints” and trip logs “tracks”then download to the computer when you return to the office.
